Dear Harvard Club of Thailand Member, 

Please join us to our Fireside Chat with Kirit Shah, the chairman of GP group. This intimate gathering will bring together Harvard alumni from various sectors to explore khun Kirit’s lessons from a lifetime in business. Upon registration, we will ask you to submit a question to be selected for discussion. Canapes and soft drinks will be served at the event. Conversation will be conducted in English.

Kirit C Shah, patriarch of the Shah family, joined the family business aged 21 in 1974. Inspired by opportunities in the Arabian Gulf, he set to transform the grain business into a commodities trading powerhouse. He accelerated the transformation after taking the helm in 1980, expanded operations globally and entered new sectors including shipping, chemicals, hospitality, construction and pharmaceuticals.

Kirit formed GP Group at the turn of the millennia, focusing on large-scale strategic investments and diversifying its portfolio to include technology, private aviation and a number of listed companies including Precious Shipping PCL, Mega Lifesciences PCL, Christiani & Nielsen PCL. He is listed amongst Thailand’s 50 Richest by Forbes magazine.
